Welcome to 2013.Another holiday season is in the books; don't we love all the planning, the family and friend time and the memories that are made? So as we put away the decorations, our thoughts may turn to the clean slate of a new year. Do we make a resolution or two? Generally it is just a good time to reflect on your life and what is working and what is not. Are you happy with your job? Are you satisfied with your relationships? Do you love yourself and your body? Maybe this is the year that you commit to self care. |

The weather outside is frightful...but what happens at the spa is delightful! Our spa elves are there to help you shop, help you relax, help you look your holiday best with pretty fingers and toes, perhaps a new hairstyle to wow all of your family and friends over the holiday season. The stress of the hectic holidays can take a toll if you don't take some time for yourself. Put your feet up, close your eyes and drift away for awhile...sounds like a facial to me!! Or lay down on a warm soft surface with an eye mask blocking out the light and the stress. |

What is the best gift you can give those you love? How about the gift of wellness? And part of that wellness gift would include the gift of stress reduction and relaxation. Perhaps a massage or reflexology treatment? Or maybe a facial with professional products administered by a professional care giver? And do you take the time to give yourself that same gift of wellness...you deserve it, there is not question. And spa services are really not an indulgence; consider them an investment in your health. |

The colder weather and winds are already starting to show up on my skin; how about you? As I age , I am always looking for ways to keep my skin looking and feeling healthy ( and younger of course). I have found a new product Nerium AD, now being carried by the spa. I LOVE it. I have been applying it regularly for about four weeks now and I honestly can see a difference in my skin. And the part I like is that it is so convenient and easy to use. Apply at bedtime to clean skin, sleep in it, cleanse and moisturize in the am and you are ready to go! |

The season to be grateful and thankful is here. But most of us feel grateful on a regular basis...the question is "how often do we say it aloud?". Are you aware that the endorphins released when we express gratitude and thanks are good for us? We probably don't think of saying thanks as something that can be really healthy for us! So in this season of Thanksgiving, it might be a good time to focus on saying what you are thinking ..." thanks for thinking of me", " thanks for going that extra mile", " thanks for be my sounding board today. |

Have you ever had a reflexology treatment? If not, you are in for a great experience...healthy and relaxing and so good for your entire body and spirit....your feet are home to connections to all of your systems. When an experienced reflexologist begins to work his or her magic, you will begin to breathe more deeply, your tension will melt away and the endorphins from the massage will begin to relieve aches and pains . A Clover on Main now has two certified reflexology experts, Jackie Oellerich and Dennis Starr. |

Well it is official now: Halloween is over, the election is over and the
holidays are squarely in front of us. So much fun and so much to do!! It is no
doubt a time of high stress, hopefully good stress but the end result is the
same: tiredness, back and shoulder tightness, achy feet from shopping, eating
too much and not getting enough activity to offset those wonderful cookies and
appetizers so prevalent this time of year.
I propose a gift to yourself, starting today. How about a few minutes
everyday to close your eyes and breathe deeply? |

Another summer is coming to an end and we are still trying to soak up
every minute of warmth and sunshine on our faces and bodies. While that warmth
feels great, your skin will need to soak up lots of moisture and healing as the
long wonderful days of summer get shorter and shorter.
This is the perfect time to visit your favorite spa and have one of the
skin care experts take a look. The expertise of a skin care professional will
help you plan the best regime for your face, neck and hands. |
